In addition to creating habitat for ruffed grouse, a species of concern in Missouri, this cooperative has been formed to give landowners, hunters, and wildlife conservationists an opportunity to improve and maintain healthy forests, wildlife populations, including deer, wild turkey, and other species.

This cooperative has been organized with the following goals in mind:

- To create young forest habitat for ruffed grouse, deer, wild turkey, song birds and all wildlife that need young forest to survive and maintain healthy populations.

- To create a network for landowners to communicate and work together to help each other create habitat and manage wildlife populations.  This may include sharing information, equipment, and labor.

- To recruit youth hunters that are safe and ethical, and, to educate them about the importance maintaining healthy wildlife populations.
